Birmingham New Street Station

Birmingham New Street Station

Client: Network Rail
Architect: Foreign Office Architects
Contract Value: £13M
Status: complete
Sector: leisure

The much-needed redevelopment of Birmingham New Street Station involved the construction of new access routes, retail units and new public area concourses, as well as the feature atrium space bringing much needed light into the station.

Our work involved the drylining package to new access routes, retail units, cores and back of house areas.

We were subsequently appointed on Phase 2 which included the flagship store John Lewis interface. Specialist finishes included Sto Render, polished plaster, Perlata finish and various other decorative finishes.

This was a large connected team with full collaboration and joint problem solving which aided the quick resolution of any issues.

The smooth white plaster board used to clad the atrium and walkways brings light to an otherwise dark space.
