Imperial College London are constructing the new Michael Uren Biomedical Engineering Research Hub at Imperial West Campus, White City. This new build triangular shaped laboratory, rises over 13 floors with basement and comprises laboratory and office space for research as well as clinical facilities.

fireclad have been appointed through main contractor ISG to undertake the design, co-ordination and installation of the drylining and ceilings package.

Over 12 different types of custom-made ceilings will be installed throughout the building including pressed steel, polyester coated, perforated metal, timber and plasterboard as well as hygienic plasterboard ceilings in the laboratory areas. Our custom crafted colleagues have been appointed to develop and install their Gamma single glazed partition system and timber door sets throughout the building.

The construction of the Hub has been made possible thanks to a £40 million gift from Imperial alumnus Sir Michael Uren OBE and his foundation.
